Wiping your browser history does not really remove anything, you need to try clearing your temporary internet files and cookie cache and restarting your device(s). I suggest using one of the free utilities for clearing the files and cache, the onboard ones are generally slow and are programed not to remove the junk your operating system leaves behind. The utilities often have versions for laptops, pads, and phone operating systems.
