Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

Same problem using Safari for 2 days now. I have resorted to inserting picture in description using HTML. If you set up a basic web account in Wordpress you can upload images then cpoy the web address by viewing in HTML then paste into description. It is a hassle

Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

Same problem here!! start today after they change me to the new Ebay sellers Hub,I called Ebay 3 times today and keep calling until they fix this problem with zooming into my listing pictures.

Ebay told me they are aware of the problem and working to fix it!!,but that they can't tell me a time line when it will be fixed.

Just keep calling and complain!!! until they fix it.

Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

Yes started for me last night. Called no nothing no support and the no support person told me it was my photos........Why do they even have no support department. He even went as far as to send me an email on how to create listings. I have known that since 2004. Of course no mention that ebay was having an issue even though I told him it was on their side. Ahhhhhrrrrrrgggggg !

Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

This problem is being reported on at least 4 message threads.  Have called eBay twice with call back option (estimate 20 minutes) and get NO call back after 1 hour.  Anyway since i dont what to create new listings till it's fixed i went in a debugged the old HTML versus the new.  The problem is that a whole block of code related to "zoomEnabled"  and "enImgCarousel" is not being generated for ANY uploaded image.  If you copy an old listing and dont change the images, the code is still there and the zoom works.  But upload a new image and the zoom code is not generated.   I suspect there is code which does a check on the image to see if it "qualifies" for zoom, checking for 800 pixels, 1600 pixels etc.  If the code does not think the picture qualifies it takes off the zoom.   So it is a normal process to have zoom on some pictures but not on others, but now ALL images are failing.  Have tried even bigger pictures,  elimnating all borders, trying higher JPG quality settings (90 or above).  Nothing has fixed it.  Perhaps there is some image format that would pass the new checks that are being applied? If someone finds an image that works, please let us know the details on that image regarding pixels, file format or whateve so we can get our listings zooming again.

Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

Still no zoom feature. My old ones are fine. Now I wait and see how well these items will sell with a near disabled photo feature.

Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

This is the response I received, it still doesn't solve OUR issue

Thank your calling eBay about the concern on the new listed that photo is not zoom out (magnify).

Due to the changes on our listing format, there are changes as well for the qualification.

For the zoom (magnify) / enlarge feature to be activated, the following image criteria must be met: ◦ Setid needs to be supersize (880000500F) in the code.

◦ Photo Display Type needs to be Picture Pack or supersize.

◦ Image dimensions need to be 800-1600px in length.

◦ Pictures uploaded to eBay picture hosting are optimized for buyers viewing listings on mobile devices.

I hope I've explained everything clearly and wish you success on eBay in the future.

Thanks,

eBay

Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

YES SAME PROBLEM- The zoom feature actually works, the issue is that I upload large photos but by the time the listing is created they're sized down to 500 mp.  Ebay's system is shrinking the photos, it's obviously a problem and not intentional, with as many posts as i've seen about this and sellers calling Ebay to report this... Why is there no resolution or at least an update or acknowledgement of the problem?  It would be helpful to know they're aware of it and working on fixing it.

Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

Do you have an option to reply to this email you got from Ebay?  It's totally not addressing the issue.  Share one of these threads with them if you can

Re: Picture upload issues ONCE AGAIN

8/27/2017  12 noon CST:  Fix appears to be online.  There appears to be a fix online now as reported in another thread on this same subject.  I suggest you delete the pictures from any listings that dont work with zoom and re-upload the pictures.  Have tried this now for 3 listings at it has worked and zoom with carosuel is back and working at least for now.
