Called eBay Support. System asks for phone number. After inputting number the system advances to listing 9 options for issues.
Once you select an issue the system states "Wait while we transfer you to a team member" it will then read a 4 digit code. Once it finishes reading the code the system hangs up. Tried multiple times and methods with same result.
Trying to get a hold of eBay to find out how to bring back searching listings via Description as this option was recently removed.
Thank you

You cannot call eBay directly for customer support. You can request a call back online, though.
You may be better off asking your question here to get suggestions from experienced users.
To contact eBay, use the chat assistant to request a chat with an agent or a call back by starting on the Help & Contact page and following the links for your issue.
What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.
Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
If nothing else works, try this link between 5am to 9:30pm Pacific Time:

Hello,
I appreciate your attempt to help but your first sentence is incorrect. I contact eBay multiple times daily via phone and discuss issues with them.
Today, the system is currently not functioning. Since I was unable to contact them directly to inform them of my issue and of their current issue with their phone system I reached out here for them to possible see this an investigate it if they were not already aware of it.
Thank you

I only mean that eBay does not have a public number for customer support.
If you have a non-public number for support that is between you and eBay, but other folks reading here would not necessarily have access to that or be able to help with that.

I don't know how to search by description, but in the seller hub on my "new" display of active I can type in a word or 2, and hit enter.
Can type in say...... blue widget........... hit enter, and all my listings for widgets with blue in the title come up.

OP situation, and application is beyond my pay grade.

Not sure, but that option may still exist on an alternative non-hub selling page.

Otherwise, if you are looking for a clunky workaround, you should still be able to search your listings as a buyer might, and choose the "include description" option that way.

As a test, searching for one of your item location numbers:

Hello,
It was a filter option, we use eBay as a form of inventory control as well. If you check out our listing, just for understanding purpose, we use a date code and item code for listing.
For example, in our description it will show our location and the above mentioned code: Item#2407-001.
We can of course adapt but it was a useful feature and only recently changed.

If you're contacting "ebay" through a phone number you found by googling, you aren't speaking to ebay.

It looks like its back. I felt like it was a Mandela effect for a short bit. See pic.
