Phone number for help in Europe

The customer help assistants told me I have to call them to verify my ID but there doesn't seem to be a help number that works... Does anyone know if eBay provides help phone numbers that work in Europe? I've gone around in circles... If I'm on the .co.uk site, it gives me an 0800 number that only works if I add 0044 as the country code and if I'm on the .com site, it gives me a USA number, even though I'm clearly marked as based in Portugal, with the little Portuguese flag at the top of the page, and all my contact details are for Portugal... I tried calling the UK number with the area code but after going through all the options, they answered and hung up before I could say anything. I don't want to call again because it's expensive and they're hanging up...

No one here can give you a number to make an unexpected call to eBay support. eBay support has not worked that way for years.

Email is how most feedback issues are dealt with.

 

To contact eBay, use the chat assistant to request a chat with an agent or a call back by starting on the Help & Contact page and following the links for your issue.

 

What options you see may depend on your particular issue and how busy that department is at the moment.

 

Try entering "agent" into the chat window. You may have to provide some context to reach the correct department. If you see a "Still need help?" or "More options" choice, either of those should lead to a call back option.
