Paypal disappeared ?

i tried to buy a few things today and i cannot the paypal option anywhere ? Can you help me with the issue ?

That, and if something like a PP widget is being used to dynamically render the buttons/other images and PP is in fact having issues, and can't connect to the server, the script simply may not display at all, making it look like it's gone when in fact it's erroring out and unable to show up on the page perhaps?

Same here! I just tried to buy some stuff, the PayPal option is gone. I cannot buy anything unless I do Google pay or credit card. I'm not doing that, I only use PayPal for ebay. This is a big problem. Huge.

It occured on my end too. I paid for a purchase at 8pm using PayPal. Worked like it should. But went to make another purchase at 11pm, and the PayPal payment option (login etc) didn't come up. No PayPal option. Logged out back in, tried using another PC, and another web browser. Nothing worked. Ebay prompt asked instead for a credit card. My response to that is, No thank you very much! 

On both eBay and PayPal, there's no mention of either closing the other off. Both list the other as viable, for lack of a better word.

I do recall this having happened once before. I just left it alone for the night, and it worked again the next day. Let's hope they fix this.

True, but it is possible that eBay's checkout page has some dynamic features.

I notice when the checkout page first loads, I see options for credit cards stored on eBay appear instantly, but the option for Google checkout appears after a brief delay. Perhaps there is some checking to make sure a payment system is actually available before it is presented at checkout as a possible option.

Gpay or Apple Pay are displayed dependent on your operating system (iOS or WIN), The other options are available to all (US) users so no checking needed on those.

Do we know if it works yet.  Ebay still shows it is a problem, however it is about 30+ minutes behind in updating.

Why would eBay want to rid itself of   Paypal , Visa and MasterCard ?

And how would a buyer getting a UID strike  make eBay any money?

More likely it would mean many buyers would be subject to automatic Blocks by sellers and/or get upset and never go near eBay again.

If this is anything planned, I would suspect a connection to the current sanctions on the Russian economy. There have been Russian and Belusarian troll farms working since 2016 if not earlier attacking Western democracies. Changing tactics to attack economies would not be difficult.

Today's problem was between the Ebay / PayPal link.  The problem has now been resolved, so everything should be functioning normally for you.

I looked at my own listings and there is no Paypal option.

When I checked one of my dotCA listings (I am a non-US seller and list on various sites including my home, Canada) not only was PP missing on both dotCA and dotCOM, but the Canadian site showed that payment could be made by Discover card, which is not accepted in Canada.

Looks like a nasty glitch.

I know there was an issue or outage of some sort going on yesterday @femmefan1946 as PayPal put up a service disruption for checkout notice on their PayPal Status Page. It appears to have been resolved though. Please let us know if you still don't see the option to pay with PayPal today as we'll want to bubble that up.
