Page loading slowly and locking up due to third party ads.

When I access ebay, it is almost impossible to navigate through any listings. When I select a listing - it is very slow to load, the page locks up, and features such as mousing over the image of the item freeze - and many more problems. In addition, when I place a bid - the bid commands are also very slow and lock up which has caused me to miss winning items because, by the time the bid is completed, which takes too long due to the locking-up, freezing, and slowness, the bid time has expired. I have been an ebayer for nearly 20 years with over 3,000 successful wins and with a 100% positive feedback rating and the terrible slowness/locking/freezing is frustrating me to the extreme! I believe that the problem is all of the third-party ads that need to load on every and any ebay page which is requiring so much memory/PC speed, that my computer (Brand new Windows 10 with super processing speed and memory) cannot function on the ebay website. I am fed up with this situation, there is no way to contact ebay to discuss this and I am going to find another site to purchase from. EBAY - YOU SUCK AND THE FACT THAT YOU WILL PROVIDE NO WAY FOR US, YOUR CUSTOMERS, TO CONTACT YOU TELLS ME THAT I, AS A CUSTOMER, DO NOT MATTER TO YOU!!!

Re: Page loading slowly and locking up due to third party ads.

They have Help & contact on many pages, it's at the very bottom of this page towards the right.
If you click that it gives you prompts  Selling/Buying , etc.
If you follow the prompts you get the Phone number & a Pin
Yes they make CS very hard to get through to , which everyone dislikes/Hates
They have also outsourced offshore and many reps are script readers

I am using a Windows 10 with Edge and I'm not having your issues, do you use the free adblock plus?
It really helps.

Yea...not being able to contact Ebay can be a real pain. Pretty sure that's why these forums are here. To answer the thousands of questions Ebay doesn't want to bother with. As for the ads.....I used to suffer the same thing. You using Google Chrome? Get Adblocker and/or AdblockerPlus. They kill every ad on Ebay except the ad for the gift card.  Geez....I haven't seen the stupid free business card ad now for years. Didn't even miss it...... - 96.

To be clear...you don't have to run Google Chrome to use Adblocker. There is a Adbocker for IE as well and it does work very well too. Ebay shopping is a bit faster and nicer without waiting for an ad to build every time you open a new page. - 96

I would get a adblocker. I run 2 on Firefox AdblockerPlus & Ghostery. It runs pretty fast and smooth for me...But I do have a Crazy internet speed Down is about 280.Mbps and up is about 12..and it does slow down some times even with all that.

 Good Luck

Re: Page loading slowly and locking up due to third party ads.

We have encountered this frustrating issue as well, just started about 2 weeks ago (today is 10 Jun) - husband has owned websites and believes it is their sidebar and top ads causing the issues - you cannot do anything within the pages until the ads are fully loaded then everything starts working as normal - Ebay is not getting paid by the advertiser if the ad does not fully display so they have to decide where they make the most money? Ebay buyers/sellers they **bleep** off with these slowly loading, freezing pages or the advertisers - what is more important Ebay??
