Page Loads Slowly

When I am doing searches (from 'My eBay' page, not seller hub), the page loads ever so slowly. The bouncing ball at the top that indicates loading, continues bouncing for 25 seconds. I timed it. If I try to change the search or do anything on the page but wait for the ball to stop, often it does not respond. The sub-categories load faster, and I can sometimes click a different one and the page will change. Still takes 25 seconds to fully load. This happens on my laptop, the speed is fine on my cell phone.

I do not have this problem on other sites, so I know it is not my computer, my internet service, or Firefox. Pages on other sites load in under 2 seconds, and when I click a headline, the page changes immediately.

Is this happening to anyone else? I am still trying to figure out why sales are slow. I do searches for pricing items, but if I was a buyer searching for an item, 25 seconds to load the page would absolutely deter me from buying. (My sales are consistent month-month. It is not the time of year, last year August was my best sales month).

Re: Page Loads Slowly

Try temporarily disabling your ad blocker to see if that allows pages to load better.

If so, the problem may be with a particular set of filters -- "Anti-circumvention" filters in Ad Block or "ABP Filters" in Ad Block Plus or similar. You may be able to disable just those filters and still block ads on eBay.

If that does not help, try another browser to see if that makes a difference.

Re: Page Loads Slowly

Thanks. I disabled ad block plus for eBay. Loads much more quickly.  I have had ad block plus on the entire time, but the slow loading just started. Weird.

Re: Page Loads Slowly

You should be able to still block most ads if you disable just the ABP filters in your Filter Lists under Advanced in your Ad Block Plus settings, I think.

For some reason those particular filters have been causing issues on eBay lately.
