Our sales have been down the last 3 months. Had to downgrade from anchor to premium.

Contacted ebay 3 months ago, because our sales dropped to only 10% of  our normal monthly sales. My daughter and I worked long hours daily to build our store for the last 3 years.  Called ebay around 8 times and was told that there was an internal problem in our. store I asked if there was anything that I could do to help our store. I was told no. That it was something that ebay was working on.

We ended  up having to downgrade to a premium store, because the internal problem wasn't fixed. Which was frustrating and heart breaking for us, since our goal was and still is to have a 10,000 item store that will help support our family.

Our sales continue to dwindle and soon, we won't be able to afford the premium store. We are still adding 8 to 10 items a day on ebay and want this to work. I have had this store for 17 years and this is the worst that it has ever been for us.

I called ebay a couple days ago to talk to see, if our store still has an internal problem and after an hour and 30 minutes, decided to hang up.  We want to continue with ebay and don't know what else to do!

We can't afford to pay for store fees, promotional fees, fvf, paypal fees, cost of merchandise, business expenses, return shipping and taxes. And still have our sales dwindle.

Ebay doesn't seem like a place for sellers anymore :(.

Re: Our sales have been down the last 3 months. Had to downgrade from anchor to premium.

Just called ebay and they said that my sales were down in June 2018 because of what I have listed. We have books, t-shirts and shorts listed. Last June 2017, we sold over $1,900 (same type of items listed), this June 2018, we only sold $400. I was told that we are up this June compared to last June..... even though on my seller dashboard states that we are 86.4% lower compared to last year!!

This is very frustrating to watch our sales decline every month and it is NOTHING that we are doing.  I have jumped through all of the hoops.   Free return shipping, low prices, free shipping, best offer, good keywords, great feedback, 18 years experience, good pictures and all of my items are promoted. NONe of this helps, if ebay doesn't work with the sellers.

Re: Our sales have been down the last 3 months. Had to downgrade from anchor to premium.

You're not the only one I was top rated plus power seller with 100% feedback 9000+ items sold and shipped for the past 2.5 years with 6 figure selling limits etc. I was even doing same day free shipping by 3pm EST I also sell a large volume of orders with @eBay

GSP global shipping which oddly enough Ive remained top rated.

I WAS TOLD BY AN EBAY CSR OVER THE PHONE ' SORRY WE HAVE A BUG/GLITCH IN OUR SYSTEM"

@AskeBay @eBay @eBayForBusiness @eBayNewsroom

this bug was marking every item I shipped, even if same day to be marked as a defect in my seller performance dashboard items that shipping same day with valid tracking and would arrive ON-TIME OR MOST CASES 1-2 days  early THE ITEMS would STILL BE MARKED DEFECT FOR BOTH CATEGORIES..

EBAY CSR'S REPLY IS "SORRY MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHANGE TO 1 OR 2  DAY HANDLING TIME" .

i replay I have not changed anything on my listings or handleing timess for 3 years, ALL 3 YEARS  I WAS TOP RATED POWER SELLER 100% FEEDBACK. MY SHIPPING METRICS NEVER FELL BELOW 97-98% only eBay algorithim is "bugged glitch as she stated.

The tracking on @USPSbiz website and sale record on eBay confirms this info. CSR can see it but they tell me "OH SORRY ITS A BUG YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR CUSTOMERS THINK HANDLING TIME IS 1-2 DAYS INSTEAD OF SAME DAY AND DONT WORRY ABOUT THE DROP IN SALES BECAUSE OUR SYSTEM IS BUGGED AND YOU LOST YOUR TOP RATED SELLER, MY FEE DISCOUNT, LESS SALES DUE TO BAD METRICS AND NO MORE GSP SALES NOW.

It was already a hassle and pain to baby sit @usps workers @reblingc  to make sure packages are picked up and scanned, #USPS workers @reblingc are requqired to scan every package as soon as they pick up, or drop off every package is to be scanned, @usps workers are lazy and you have to ask almost, argure that it's their job to scan the packages upon pick up or a drop off. @reblingc   ( @USPSbiz I dropped off 8 packages about 2 weeks ago, I had been noticing most all my packages that were being dropped off were not being scanned in at that post office, yet making their way to other cities before receiving a scan up to 2 days later. I politely asked the @USPS worker at the walking drop off window to PLEASE scan each package and if they were going out that day, 3:45pm est (she says yes she will scan them and that they are going out that day).  trucks arrives at 5:30 @usps PO closes at 4 PM.      @USPSHelp I've been dealing with these USPS issues from over 6 years. I spend 5-6 figures with USPS every year to ship my products on eBay. USPS you cost me so much lost sales and revenue because you're carriers are lazy, they never heard of customer service either the managers nor carriers or sub carriers, can not communicate or cordinate routes and pick up's thus leading to 5-30 eBay customer orders packages sitting on the front porch by this time I have to rush to the closed post office, find a manager and hope that the truck hasnt left or isnt full.

@AskeBay my seller dashboard, and the 2 shipping time and tracking upload validation need to be addresssed, I was a top 15,000th seller for 2 years til yall screwed up my account and shipping metrics.

Do something about it. Or soon ebay will be drop shipping center not that more than half the listings are fake drop shipping listings.  An online business can not survive with such imcompatence from the marketplace itself, along with the only shipping option and ebay partner.

Re: Our sales have been down the last 3 months. Had to downgrade from anchor to premium.

What you are experiencing, It started for me 28 months ago. Merchant Support Supervision AND a "Search Specialist" opendly admited that Best Match search is broken, and will not be fixed. This was last May/June. I have invested THOUSANDS of hours chasing down and applying the usless "advice" on how to get my slisting from being buried. Not a SINGLE thing has helped.

My seller perfromance is TRP, 100%, solid 5.0 DSR's. "Listing Specialists" have poured over my listings and they cannot find anything for a recommendation to apply to all my listings to improve exsposure. Our sales have been constatntly dropping, with many months of not even breaking even. We are now at 20% sales from where we were 28 months, and still falling.

With Calling Merchant Support, it is commone what they will tell you, why your sales are down, is "YOU"....your listings. Last night, a Supervisors told me all my listings were undesirable, nobody is buying these things. I cannot beging to count how many times I have caught and pointed out the lies they are telling me

You need to take a CLOSE look at search results, for over 2 years my listings will not show and dissapear from search results. Ebay is very badly broken, we the sellers are suffering, but they still collect the pound of flesh for a job they are failing to do

Just my 2 cents. #1 sell things customers need. #2 Sell unique. #3 you are never going to be able to compete with the Chinese so don't sell things that they do. #4 don't sell items that you can buy down the street in any given city.
