And now we need to send our apologies and cover for the incompetence of the venue which can't seems to hire Adequate programmers who can fix this well known old Glitch,
Another unjustified order cancellation and another disappointed buyer, it's getting old.
We already have a standard template which we find quite handy when we need to cancel another purchase of already sold Item, we just feel in the blanks the item specifics, takes seconds.

What reason do you give to ebay for the cancellation?
Buyers usually agree for a replacement/alternative items. if and when they ask to cancel,
We use the "buyer asked to cancel" option.
Another issue that rises is that sometimes it takes buyers few days to respond to our "ebay sold items glitch Message" and since we have "signed" for next day shipping we get dinged for late shipment of a non existent item that should have not been sold to begin with...

This has happened to me a few times, too. The first time was probably about 12 years ago, so yeah, it's been going on for a long time and should've been fixed it by now. It's the biggest reason I cut two-thirds of my inventory out a few years ago, so I could keep better track of it. I also check my inventory (all single items, no duplicates or variations) every few weeks with this duplicate listing tool
https://www.isdntek.com/ebaytools/DuplicateListings.htm
just to make sure I didn't double-list anything.
