For 27 days I'm there's a problem with Ebay's messaging an offer systems. Im unable respond to buyers messages even when I click on their username and then put an item number or not about an item there's no text box, or it just goes right back to the list of messages. I'm getting offers from buyers after the offer expired I click respond to the offer it would say there are no offers. I couldn't contact the buyer when I clicked on the username. It would just go back to the messages. I don't know how you're supposed to do business on eBay when they can't fix a major technical issue in less than three weeks I mean, when I called today after possibly losing six or $7000 worth of business today alone, they said oh it might take 90 days. I'm not sure how to do business with Ebay anymore, I'm.disgusted. I'm not sure Ebay understands that without sellers. They wouldn't have any buyers to bend over backwards for I mean, this is getting a little ridiculous.

If you are having problems entering your message text, try clicking on the "Send message" text to start typing your message.

Hi @heypayattention . When it takes you to your messages folder, you should see that a new draft message is created and your buyer's name appears at the top of that blank white space. From there, look to the bottom of the blank white space.

Messages are no longer formatted like emails; they are formatted like messages. It operates the same way a chat window does. Ex: when you contact customer service here on eBay using the chat option, and when you send a text message on your phone, you type in the space at the bottom, not higher up where messages are displayed.

At the bottom of the message window, the box that says 'send message' is where you click to start typing. I'm hoping eBay will update that 'send message' text to something more instructive in the near future, like 'compose message', and eliminate some of the confusion stemming from the crowd that is not familiar with text message / chat format.

The photo landscape icon on the left is for attaching photos. The paper airplane icon on the right is for sending the message.

hi thanks but there is no box at the bottom no matter what you get sent back to the list of messages. There's a couple ways to click on the buyers name and then it takes you to contact them thenwether i click it's about an item or it's not about an item or it's whatever it takes me back to my messages so that's what it is and when I called eBay, they said it's a glitch getting worked on. It's been about 40 days. I know how to do the messages it's just not working.
