Since last eBay app update on my iPhone, notifications won’t go away unless I not only open the notifications tab, but also click each and every notification to open it up and load the page. It never used to be this way, only the notifications tab needed to be opened, which would show a list of all notifications (such as watch item reminders or item delivered notifications), and after viewing that list, all new notifications would be “read”. But now, they all remain “unread” until they are all opened individually, even though it isn’t necessary because the list tells us what the notification is. So aggravating to have to open everything constantly just to keep the new notifications number off my eBay app icon constantly.
