I noticed a few days ago the fortification bell no longer works and only way I know if I get them is to check my email or messages. Also says "notifications are not available at this time." Then says I am "all caught up" yet it never showed my new messages, sales, or offers. eBay is getting worse each year.

The SSL certificate for gha.ebay.com, the domain that notifications are served from, expired on 09/05/2020

Because of this many browsers (Chrome for sure) won't trust the site, thus no information.

I just called in to report this issue. Here's hoping it gets updated soon.

Well looks like it works now, but I was also getting weird errors. I am shocked that eBay actually fixed something and in a timely manner.

It looks like the bell is broken again. It appears that somehow the expired certificate has been restored and so we are back to the previous situation.

Yeah not working again, been saying "notifications not available at this time. " I knew it was too good to be true that eBay actually fixed something.

It actually looks like this may be somewhat hit and miss. I noticed that one PC I had was still getting notifications even as the others had stopped working.

When doing a lookup on the host name for gha.ebay.com (what appears to be the notification server), you actually get back a list of addresses. When I tried to access these individually, some had good certificates, while others still had the old expired one.

The first three in this list at least seem to have the bad certificate. If you get luck and your resolver pulls one of the later addresses, you might find things are working for you. I tried flushing my DNS, but it seems like one of these consistent comes out on top on most of my machines.
