Not receiving emails for saved searches

I haven't received any emails for saved seaches since October. I'm receiving all other eBay emails including Daily Digest, invoices, win notifications etc. Only emails not being received are saved searches. I've contacted ebay support who told me it was a problem with my gmail. I asked them to check and they said change setting in communication preferences away from "real time" and back again. Still no joy. I'm about to give up and just set up a new eBay account. Any advice?

Don't worry, from what I've seen is that a lot of people have this problem, eBay ignores it on these forums and they will lock this thread soon enough saying "due to the length of time that this thread has been open, we are locking it, please start a new thread" and not actually respond.  They make billions regardless, they don't need to do customer service of fix issues.
