None of my listings show when I search for them.

This isn't exactly a new topic as I have seen other posts on t his issue.  However, I haven't seen an answer/solution yet so I wanted to ask the question again.  None of my listings show up when I search for them.  I tried logging out and logging back in.  Didn't help.  I tried rebooting the computer.  Didn't help.  I tried logging out, rebooting, and not logging back in.  Didn't help.  I opened a second ebay account with a different email address on a different computer and searched for my listings.  It didn't help either.  None of my listings were found searching with the new account and new email address on a different computer.  My two computers are linked by WIFI.  Is this a computer issue or an ebay issue?

I see 20+ items?

When I search for

NOAA Fishery Poster Mollusks

your item shows up first in  search?

Which are you having trouble with not showing?

Apparently other people can search for them and see them but none of my items show up when I search for them.  I can see my items in My Summary or My Selling but if I go to the top of the page and type in "NOAA Fishery Poster Mollusks" and click on search, my item will not show up in the search.  I read that others had the same problem but I did not see a solution.

As I said in my original post I opened a new EBay account with a different email address and using a different computer but my items still do not show up when I search for them.  I used to be able to find my items when I searched for them but not any more.  My question is whether this is a computer issue or an EBay issue and what can be done to fix it.

I know this sounds weird but it is a fact that my items do not show up on my computer when I search for them.

Here are some printscreens.  The first printscreen has NOAA Fishery Poster Mollusks typed into the search bar.  The second printscreen shows the results of the search for NOAA Fishery Poster Mollusks, zero found.  The third printscreen shows the search did find NOAA Fishery Posters, but the search did not find mine.  I hope this helps show what I'm saying.

We too are a seller in Alaska and have been experiencing the same problem since June 19.  We have contacted ebay 20+ times and reps there have been able to recreate the issue on their end.  We have been told that ebay is working to address our problem.  We haven't seen any changes yet.

Just tried to find your listings.  Can't see any of your listings.  Curious to know if you can see any of our items.  We can only see 241 of the 10,000 items that we have listed when doing searches.  Even a search by the item number itself.  When we do find one of our items in a search, if we click the 'see other items' tab is comes back with 241 items for sale.  Very frustrating.  Maybe we should check in with our internet provider?

Thank you for posting about your similar problem.

I also found 241 listings under your name.  It would appear the problem is 1. an EBay problem; 2. a computer problem; or 3. an internet provider problem.  If you have any other thoughts please offer them.  I think your idea of checking with the internet provider is a good one, but this problem isn't just here in Alaska.  I did a Google search last night and found some people had this problem 3-4 years ago.   It would still be worthwhile to check with the internet provider, if nothing else, to find out if they have any thoughts about the problem.   It could be a computer problem since it seems to occur randomly and only some people have the problem.  And it could be an ebay problem.

We should keep in touch in case a solution to the problem is found.

I'll let you know if I hear anything more from ebay.  I am fairly certain that it is an ebay problem that began in mid-June with their update.  Our sales dropped 59.8% in July.  And according to ebay's own seller hub reporting, our listings dropped by 43.9% in July (we actually added 5%).  I'm going to send ebay another batch of screen shots later showing that our problems persist.  I'll let them know that you are seing the exact same problem.

I talked to EBay a couple of weeks ago about this.  I got the same answer as here.  "We can see your listings when we search for them."  They simply were not the least bit concerned about the problem.

I just searched under my name for my listings and got all my feedback notices but 0 listings under my name.  I agree with you it's an EBay problem or my feedback would not show up.  If it were either a computer problem or and internet provider problem I probably would not have found my feedback.

Anyone in the community have any suggestions for a fix?  This is a real issue to those of us affected by it.

I too am in Alaska and I've had this problem for quite a while now. I have yet to see a solution anywhere in the community forums (that works). I never realized that it might be a geographical issue. Luckily this is just a hobby with us.

That issue has occurred since at least last DEC (and another Hawaii poster said for years in her case).

Buyers in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO, and other territories may see zero listings (or reduces numbers of listings) for some sellers in search results. When an Alaskan seller looks at his own listings he sees zero results.

I'm in California, but if I change my zipcode on a listing shipping and payments tab to an Anchorage zip, I see zero results when I search for my own listings. On general searches, I would not see search results for any sellers except those that offer worldwide shipping (yeah, the bug has a flavor of eBay treaating Alaska, Hawaii, etc as international in some search contexts).

eBay says they are working on it.

For fun, bop around eBay after you change your zip to 90210 and see if you can see you see your own listings in search
https://www.ebay.com/sch/northrnxp1/m.html
and then if you get more results for other searches.

It isn't a solution, but could be a klunky workaround as a buyer. Use 90210 (or whatever lower 48 states zip works best for you) when searching. At least you will see all the results (but shipping amounts will be wrong) You's have to toggle back and forth between your real zip and the fake one to get correct shipping amounts in the actual listings (not difficult, just leave a listing open to the shipping&payments tab in a browser tab, change the zip as needed, hit "get rates" which sets the zip, flip back to listing you want to buy, reload the page, and correct Alaska shipping should show.)
