No longer able to add items to watchlists that I created.

I can still see my custom created watchlists but I cannot add anything to them. If I add everything to my single Ebay created watchlist it will be far too difficult to find things so I will be buying them from Amazon, Temu, or Ali. Ebay seem determined to self destruct.

Sorry,but don't exactly understand.  When I am searching for a particular item, or even just wandering through eBay, if I see something I may want to purchase, I just click on the "add to watch list" which is over toward the right along with "make an offer" etc.  You don't have that option?

Even if you do not see the option to add items directly to your custom lists on the item listing page, you should be able to add Watch List items to other lists from the Watch List itself by checking the appropriate box and using the "move to list" option at the top of the list.

Please note that deleting an item from the Watch List will also delete that item from your custom lists as well.

I have a similar problem.  On listing pages there used to be TWO options: one was a button that said "Add to watch list" but below that was ANOTHER button that said "Add To CUSTOM LIST"...  That button has now disappeared for me and the only thing left is "add to watch list" which I don't want to do!  I want to add things to my CUSTOM lists!  Surely there must be other people out there who are having this problem besides us two...

Yes, I have the standard watchlist but I have custom lists were I used to put things that my son may be interested in or my wife. I also have one for work items home and garden items etc. If they all go into the one standard watch list there would be 200 items and It would take longer to find the item in that list than it would to look it up from scratch again. I have now found a way of doing it but, the standard watchlist used to have a simple drop down menu that showed all your custom lists.

HI, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I found that difficult way of doing things but as you "please note" mentions, I cannot then delete the item from my standard watch list. It seems like a real backward change by Ebay for no apparent reason.

Hi, Yes, it is a real pain for those of us that used the "custom list" option. It is still possible to put items in but it is slower and more complex and if you then delete the item from the standard watchlist, it also deletes it from your custom list, so, seems a bit pointless using it at all now.

It also seems like talking to customer service might help, and of course posting to this thread. Let eBay know we don’t want this change!
