Many other users have already flooded the message board (with varying degrees of disgust and frustration) with respect to the recent and curious UI change of tabbed selections automatically opening up in new browser windows. Unsure of why this is necessary, but it makes usage unbearable. I will not put up with this nonsense and will not use the platform until the issue is fixed. Absolutely ridiculous, not to mention a huge time sap! Definitely, the worst intentional or unintentional change in twenty years. Stop this now...really, it's so annoying!

I agree wholeheartedly! Except that the links you are calling "tabbed selections" are opening in new tabs, not new windows. It is nonsensical and very frustrating to deal with. This isn't the first time eBay has foisted some stupid idea on us. Why is eBay so hell-bent on screwing things up? At the very LEAST, users should have the option to opt out of this kind of crap!
*********************** That being said, there is a work-around. *******************************
Instead of clicking the links, right click and choose "open link". I am still forgetting to do this half the time, but it defeats this arbitrary UI change from working for eBay. I'm sure they are doing this to boost their numbers of tabs open simultaneously on a global scale.
Ebay has become like Walmart. They do stuff that makes you want to kick them to the curb, but they have made themselves necessary to a great degree, by killing off the competition. Still, some time back I closed my Amazon account forever. The clock is now ticking faster for eBay, too. Frustrations like this forced new tab opening is near the last straw for me.

See here for how to disable the links opening in a new tab:
