New listings showing up as a month old

I submitted a number of new listings yesterday.    They are showing up in the search results as initiated May 19.   

I guess I have to end these and then go through the process of reuploading the photos so I will get the proper exposure a new listing is supposed to get.

Why are the listings being sorted by some "created date" and not the Submitted date as always done in the past?

My new listings from yesterday are already a month old.  I didn't even own the items on May 19. 

I don't know how much work I've done recently listing new material that may be showing as from months in the past.  I feel sick even thinking about it.   This explains to me why our sales have fallen so much this year.   Do we bribe someone at Ebay to get our listings correct like people used to have to bribe inspectors to get over borders and stuff?

I was a skeptic until I now see exactly why I can't sell anything. Ebay is burying my new listings in the past.
