New Listing Tool

To my surprise today when I tried to list something for sale I was on a simplified screen and had no way of turning on the advanced or business tool.  The "New Listing Tool" does not bring up a shipping calculator so there is not a way to determine what the exact shipping cost will be.  It just shows a range.  Apparently, my account has been set to this option and I cannot change it.   Has anyone else experienced this issue?  If so, how can it be resolved.   I have an Ebay customer service number, but it is impossible to get a live person to talk to at Ebay.  I have tried numerous times using different reasons and none seem to work.

I have been an Ebay member for over 20 years and have sold well over 1000 items but no matter somehow my account was chosen for this "upgrade".  Any help will be appreciated.

I recommend you to change the new listing tool to the old selling format.

The new listing tool still "fresh" and full with glitches.

I have the same complaint about the "new" tool not having the Shipping Calculator anywhere - I used that with every listing to see what the rates were before posting. The 'range' they show now is not helpful, so I open the Calculator in a separate tab.

You can click on the 3 dots at the top right corner of the  new tool and then click 'feedback' to complain about it.

As for getting back to the Classic tool there used to be an option in those 3 dots to switch back, but eBay removed it, I don't have it anymore. I don't know if contacting them will help as the plan is to make the New tool the default for everyone.

If you want to speak with an agent, go to this linked page below, scroll down to the bottom and click "chat with us" or "Have us call you"

Some of us can't go back to the older listing tools.

Have a great day.

I have the same complaint about the shipping rates.  Showing rates that range from $50-$350 is so not helpful.

Finally on this, my 3rd call to eBay, I got a rep who looked and said this issue has not been reported.  Very difficult to believe, especially since it's been going on so long.  The rep today took all the info (thanks ocean-sand, I used your exact words to state the problem and included 2 more problems I am facing with their new shipping method) and indicated she'd get it reported.  I requested the ticket or reference number in case someone else wants to refer to it:  1-44502061138.

Thanks ferncliff-39 for your suggestion of opening the old shipping calculator in another tab.  I stumbled onto this work-around as well.  What a pain but at least I can get a solid shipping rate.
