My profile is active but can't get into it from EBAY.COM

Can't access my account and item on sale from MY EBAY keep getting "You don't have permission to access "http://www.ebay.com/" on this server."  Can't get a contact number to call because it denies me access to everything, but if go in through some part of EBAY Community, I see my profile, my id, try to access MY EBAY and get the denial message over and over.  What gives?  Have an item out there for sale and if for some reason, it is sold, have no way to get to the seller.....

What browser are you using? Any difference if you use a different browser, or a different device?

"Access Denied" errors when trying to check out or pay usually indicate some sort of network error.

If you are using a VPN, try disabling it.

If you are using a custom firewall, that may be causing problems.

Try paying using your phone or laptop when not connected to your usual network wifi.

See here for further suggestions of things to try:

Thanks for the reply. Tried Firefox and no problem. Was using Internet Explorer.  Not sure why it would matter, but problem resolved. Thanks again.

You are welcome -- glad you were able to find a way around the problem.

Explorer has not been updated or supported in a long time, but I had never heard of that browser being responsible for an "Access Denied" error; I will add that to my list of suggestions for folks running in to the same problem. Thanks for following up.

@pianovette, FYI, Internet Explorer is a very old browser, and has not really been supported by years, since Microsoft introduced Edge as a replacement. It didn't work well for eBay even  before that. I don't think the programmers even try to make apps work in IE anymore.
