My listings are not searchable and views are not updated correctly

Hi;

Please help me solve the following problem:

I have 24 listings which are visible and active on MyeBay. But the views are very slowly incrementing and sometimes are frozen. when I visit one my listings, the counter sometimes get incremented by 1 , 2 or even 3 at a time and sometimes does not increase at all. In addition none of my listings shows up when searching by tkeywords or even by item id. I tried logging out and even with another browser and have the same problem!

Listing counter numbers are unreliable, and nobody seems to really know if they are supposed to count "self visits" (they do - sometimes), or what exactly the do count (repeated visits, google bot visits, cosmic rays, etc). Additionally, there have been Seller Hub and Selling Manager, display issues over the last few months with no views, cray view numbers, wrong view numbers. I don't put much faith in those numbers.


You are listing on .com (ebay.com) but you don't ship to Morocco, so eBay won't show you your listings when viewwing from Morocco (your default location as a buyer/viewer)

Try changing your viewing location to the UK on the shipping and payments tab of one of your listings that ships there (like your item #113232352833), and you should see your items: https://www.ebay.com/sch/racab2/m.html

I see 25 items for you when using the UK or USA as my location.

I played around with some other locations you ship to like Italy, Russian Fed, Saudi Arabia, etc and got various numbers of items when I looked for all your items. I didn't check, but you must have items listed that don't ship to all the countries that some of them do - those items will not be visible to those buyers in those locations (or you if you change your location to those countries).

So, the answer is to add Morocco to locations you ship to by removing it from the list of locations you don't ship to, but that appears to be a problem. I don't see Morocco on your list of excluded locations, yet when I change my location to Morocco, your listings show a red error message saying "Does not ship to Morocco", and I see 0 items for you in search.

Maybe user @pjcdn2005 can help here.

I don't think this problem is the "self visibility" issue that the other sellers have been reporting (based on my minimal testing)

Addendum: I looked again and saw "Africa" in the beginning of the excluded locations - that is where Morocco would be lumped in as an excluded location. Doh!

So if you drill down in the excluded locations list and allow Morocco as the only Africa location, you should then be able to see your listings.

Thanks a lot! It really helps. Now at least I can find my listings by serach keywords after discarding Morocco from the list of excluded shipping destinations.

If you remove Morocco from the exclusions you should be able to find your listings via general search by keywords, and by search for your items https://www.ebay.com/sch/racab2/m.html (see other items).

If you don't want to sell to Morocco, and don't want to remove Morocco from the location exclusions, you can always change your location to the UK temporarily as outlined above for times when you want to search for your listings.

I’m glad that you got it all sorted out!

I am curious though about some of your excluded countries as some of them are usually quite reliable to ship to.  You have blocked US Protectorates. APO’s, Japan, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden and probably a few others that I wouldn’t consider as ‘problem’ locations.  Of course it is totally up to you where you ship to, I was just curious about your choices.

I hadn’t checked your listings before I posted but I see now that you have only 1 item showing when I use Morocco as my location so you may have to update your listings  if you want to see all of them.

In fact I upadated just one listing. I will do the same for the others when I will have time.
Concerning the shipping locations. I am opened my account just about 7 months ago and I haven't yet made a shipping table. Here in Morocco, price vary greatly from location to location; so I included just the countries for which I can ship with a reasonable price for the moment. I will take into account you remark for future listings.
