When paying for my UPS shipping label the amount said $17 and change. A week after the item is delivered eBay processed a charge for over $21. Now how can I prove that was not the amount I agreed to since I got no email confirmation like I did with PayPal. The only reason I shipped UPS is because eBay offers Parcel Select when creating the listing, but not when creating the label. I used to print the Parcel Select labels in PayPal I guess.

Both UPS and FedEx have a "Residential surcharge" that applies to any package sent to a residential address. Yes, even shipping to a home based business gets hit for this fee. For UPS, I believe it's about $3.60 and eBay does not mention that during the label issuance process - primarily because they don't know if the shipping address is a residence or business. Since UPS labels aren't billed to you until they're actually used, it's usually best just to assume that your shipment will be the eBay estimate plus the residential fee.
As to Parcel Select, you can still purchase those from PayPal™, Pirate Ship, the Post Office, etc. if you wish. If you have a Pirate Ship account and have taken advantage of their eBay integration, they'll even upload the tracking for you automatically. Highly recommend checking them out.
