My Watch List "Notes" Disappear by themselves

I type out a note for an item I'm watching in my watch list.  I press "SAVE" and the note appears to be saved and shows up  under the item.  When I click on anything else the note then disappears.

I trust I'm not the only one who has had this problem.     

The items I was trying to add notes to today all had only a few hours to go until their listings  were going to end.   I'm going to try adding a note to an item that has more time left..... as soon as I post this.

I just now returned to my watch list and my notes have reappeared.  

So I guess the solution is just to be patient.  Although I don't ever remember the notes disappearing for any length of time in my previous note makings.  For now all is well.
