Multiple-Variation Listings MORE PROBLEMS

The bugs just keep mounting.

1) Today I created a multiple-variation listing. Before making it live, I needed to change one picture. When I entered Edit Mode for the second time, ALL the uploaded variation pics were gone AND some of the price information was gone. Had to add it all back.

2) Tried to make the listing live (it took almost two hours to create this listing) and the message Duplicate Custom Variation appears and eBay refuses to publish the listing.

Do you see any duplicate variations in here?

This is copy and paste from the listing, so it's the exact variation names.

Up until about three months ago I NEVER had problems with variation names. Now, if I take an old listing that worked in the past and duplicate it EXACTLY, I get a duplicate variation error (there ARE no duplicate variations).

Recently, I tried putting hyphens instead of spaces in the names. That didn't work.

This time I tried underscores instead of hyphens. It won't accept the names, even though each one is technically unique when it has an underscore.

What is the matter with you people? WHY DO YOU CHANGE SOFTWARE THAT WORKS?

These are VARIATIONS. The names will always be similar. It USED to work (I've been using variation listings for years).

Would someone at eBay please get this fixed or TELL US a WORKAROUND for naming the variations until it gets fixed? What am I supposed to do to get my listing published? I have buyers who have requested this product. Doesn't eBay WANT us to list new products?

We can't make money (and thus eBay can't make money) if the bugs keep piling up on a weekly basis.

So yesterday, after several weeks of problems, I was able to create new variation listings and even to revise a listing trouble-free.

Same browser, same everything, so something changed on eBay's end of things.

I got some sales... good.

Then, today, the variation pictures vanished (I didn't do anything to the listing today). Gone as if they had never been there. I know they were there because they showed up on the sales orders for the people who bought them, but they were gone.

I was able to add them back in, but more time wasted that I can't get back.

eBay programmers get paid for the time they spend. Business owners get paid for the time we save. eBay programmers don't seem to comprehend how crucial it is for us to get things done the first time. If it takes 2 or 3 or 4 tries, we don't make any money.

Give a listing # where you had to add the pix again.......... then do a @  Trinton thingy and hopefully he can send it BACK to the team..........

A couple of days ago I was able to create a new listing problem-free. I was even able to revise it (although I stayed away from some of the things that tend to have bugs).

But, now there is a new problem...

Someone bought from the new listing and in the Sales Record, the picture no longer matches the variation description. Which one did the buyer want? The thumbnail or the description?

After I saw that, I double-checked my listing very carefully and there are no errors. Also, if I pretend to be a buyer and select variations in the listing, it shows the correct pictures, so I have correctly matched variations with their pictures and their SKUs...

...but something is going wrong between the time the buyer chooses a variation and eBay creates the Sales Record. In the Sold Awaiting Shipment list, the pic and the description don't match! On older listings, the problem is not happening, so it may have something to do with recent changes to the code that pertain only to recently created listings.
