Mobile App Won't Load Photos

I opened a ticket because starting yesterday, I have been having a hard time listing.  The app will take the photos, look like it is uploading, but then when you go to list most if not all of the photos are gone!  Ebay told me there are several that are having the same issue.  I messaged this morning to check on status, and they told me it had been issued to IT, but they had no date for resolution!  Seriously?  Do you not want people to list?  This is very critical since most people use their phones to list!

I've just spent the last hour chatting with reps from eBay who say it could be up to another 72 hours to resolve the current issues with the Android app specifically. It's not saving item specifics or other details as well, it's a mess right now.

I'm also having this issue with photos not uploading to the listing.  We create 60-100 listings per week so we have a lot of experience using the app.  

Symptoms:

- Create a listing 

- Take photos through the app

- Hit "Done"

- All photos indicate that they have been uploaded

- Go back to the listing summary

- Click save or list

- Edit the listing (or draft) and see that most of the photos are missing

Temporary workaround

- Take photos 

- Hit "Done" 

- Wait for the photos to appear to upload

- Go back to the listing summary

- Wait at least a minute (maybe more . I'm not sure how long is necessary)

- Click save or list

- Photos will be present on the draft or listing

Obviously this workaround is super annoying because it slows down the listing process and there's no way to know if the photos are on the listing/draft or not.

I posted about this issue a few days ago in another app, and talked to another user experiencing the same thing.  Don't know if it matters, but both of us have Moto G w/ Android phones.  Are you guys also on Moto phones or using other brands?  Just checking because the problem must be limited to a certain group of users or I would think the forums would be more flooded with complaints.

Also, I was using a different temporary workaround than the one listed above.  I tried that too, but with mixed results.  I noticed if I upload all the photos but don't alter any (no cropping, no brightness, etc), then hit the arrow to go back to the drafts page (auto-saving the listing), then refresh the drafts page and return to the listing, the photos will all be there.  I then crop/rotate as needed, add custom sku and hit list.  This seems to be working, but I can't say whether or not it's 100% or not, and even if so it still slows things down.

One of the frustrating parts about this bug is that it seems quite inconsistent.  One time everything will work normal, then you do the same thing and the listing hangs and only 2 pictures show uploaded.  Reminds me of weird callback problems when I used to make React / React Native apps.

Same thing here. My workflow with the new listing tool since I started using it was:
Create listing on PC.

Use "import from mobile"

Get link on phone and select photos

Hit OK or done whatever it is on the popup on PC then wait for images to finish listing and click list item

Now when I click import from mobile it takes several minutes to get the notification. 

I now have to be careful to not close the popup created when I select import from mobile(or the images will look like they loaded on mobile but never populate and disappear on the draft on both PC and mobile)

Wait for images to load behind popup then list the item

It is NOT ONLY MOBILE APPS.  I am working at home on a PC and am having the same problem.  It appears to upload the photos - I see them, and then it systematically deletes the photos.

Right now I have listings saved as drafts because I can't get things listed.

It may have started with mobile apps but it has spread to PC users.   As usual ebay's crack IT staff can't seem to figure it out,  and it is doubtful that the problem will be solved over the weekend.
