Missing Messages?

Over the last week or so I've received copies of 2 messages to my email that did NOT appear in the eBay messaging system.  I'm guessing there's an issue somewhere.

That can happen if eBay removes the original message if it has been detected as spam or a scam, or if the sender is no longer registered. In that case, the original message was likely removed after the email copy had already been sent.

Both were still current users and they were legitimate questions about the items.

eBay may also filter or remove messages if the messages appear to contain contact information.

No contact information was included.  These were pretty much everyday questions, nothing out of the ordinary.

Me too.  Have been waiting for movement of package for over 3 weeks.  Came from China. Sent 3 messages, and they are not in message folder.

I had this happen again.  I use a 3rd party software for listing management and it shows a message from a buyer asking if the product will work on 2WD models.  I never saw it in my messages on eBay, only the 3rd party software.  I know it's not the 3rd party software causing an issue it's like eBay is removing certain messages for some reason.  I get why they'd remove messages with contact information or something to that extent but this was a question about product application.  I have to wonder how  many times this has been happening that I didn't notice and I think it makes me look bad if I don't respond.
