I have a recent issue where messaging became very frustrating and time consuming. As a seller I use browser not app for listing creation, tracking impressions/views/promotions etc. Let’s be honest, it is better to manage your seller account for everything than app. I use app for buying, searching, researching, taking pictures and editing pictures everything else in app is lacking. What happened recently is that Ebay doesn’t let me use web browser easily any more (I would have to uninstall app to be able to do what I want). When I click respond to buyer in the web browser (I use firefox as it gets less issues) I am getting in loop. First I am being transferred to app and then app transfers to safari. I used to be able to respond in the same window/tab in the web browser if I used it and it stayed in the same browser. NoT anymore.
to mitigate that issue I have to click respond and hold and drag to the next tab — sometimes it does not work. Just clicking respond opens app and app immediately opens safari —not the browser I use for Ebay.

For iOS users you should be able to control whether eBay browser links are opened in your browser or in the eBay app by tapping and holding an eBay browser link. You should see some default options; choose "don't open in the app" and then browser links should open in your browser as you expect.
Once in a while an app update resets that default setting, and you may have to do it again if links start opening in the app again.

Yeah. It stopped working well. Sometimes it does and some others it doesn’t open menu for „open in new tab” such as the one in my screenshot so you can know what I mean. The extra window that is there— I can sometimes pull it up and move it to the next tab— but that is not always working either. So the little window you see in screenshot is when I hold the reply butyon and it doesn’t open the menu „open in another tab (pictured in another screenshot. That menu sometimes show and sometimes doesn’t. I hate that when I click just reply I am not only being transferred to app but back to different browser.

Try a different eBay browser link (other than the reply button) that opens a listing in the eBay app -- you may see a different set of options.
I do not have an iOS device, so I can only relay info provided by others when it comes to iOS app issues.

so I was very pleasantly surprised today when I just hit reply button in Firefox and I was not forwarded anywhere. I could reply in the same tabe! That is so nice. Ebay keep it that way please.
