There appears to have been an update which has changed the messages. I’m now unable to open any messages in my account. I have deleted the cashes and history. I have also tried a different search engine with no success. I have tried on both my iPhone and iPad. Any help out there please.

Join the club. It's been a problem for ne and many others since yesterday but ebay doesn't seem to care. I keep getting told to use the app it's working so it appears it could be done by ebay on purpose to get more people to use the app but who knows. If they would atleast acknowledge the problem and say they are working on a fix then I would think differently but why else to not address this except to tell people to use the app.

The problem seems to be primarily with mobile browsers.

 

I am able to read and respond to messages using a desktop browser or the eBay app.

 

If you have eBay messages forwarded to your email, you should also be able to read your eBay messages in your email, and respond by replying directly to the email, not using the blue "reply" button in the message which would send you back to your eBay message inbox.

 

eBay is aware of the issue and has issued an ALERT16021 for affected users. Mention that alert number if you contact eBay to have your account added to the ticket.

 

You can report technical issues from most eBay pages using the "?" icon in the lower right of the page if you scroll down.

Click the ? icon on the bottom of the page, select "report a technical problem," and in the comment box write: I'm experiencing a problem opening messages, ALERT16021

Yes I called EBAY yesterday around noon - at the time they were unaware of the issue.  they said they would open a repair ticket but had no idea of when it would get attention . Messages are still not working . Unfortunately I cannot add the AP for lack of space . With my work schedule I really need to use the mobile browser .

It is not true that this is a mobile issue. I use a desktop with Edge and cannot access messages for two days now.

Try another browser to rule out a problem with your specific browser. Or a private or incognito browser window.

 

Using Edge 137.0.3296.93 (Official build) (64-bit) on a Windows 10 machine, I am able to read and send messages without issues.
