The message text box seems quite amateurish. It does not auto-return at the end of the line at a space but breaks up words going into the next line. Then one has to fix that and it breaks up words all down the rest of the text.
If you insert a return the message then looks crazy with spaces between lines. For something like eBay would would think a text box could be at least as sophisticated as a Word document. It is a bit scary to think it is not.
And finding where eBay has sent the message one has to wait 6 days or so in response to one's rejecting a seller's half price return offer is very difficult. EBay messing just seem awkward and amateurish.
