Mark as shipped not working

Today when I click on "Mark as shipped" the sold item is NOT removed from "Orders awaiting shipment."

OK, the sold item I marked as shipped many times has been removed from "Orders awaiting shipment."  However the count of "Items awaiting shipment" is now 1 item too high, showing 2 when only 1 order is awaiting shipment.  So 1 error gets fixed and another error surfaces...

This morning until 11:30 all was fine.  Orders awaiting shipment and number awaiting shipment were correct.  Then just a few minutes ago the sold item mentioned above showed up again as awaiting shipment.  To fix the problem I did what I had to do once before in a similar situation, I archived the sold item to remove it from Items awaiting shipment.

i'm having this same issue, as are a few other users i've been communicating with.  Very frustrating as this is a vital feature.  One person had his item go from being marked as shipped to not marked as shipped AFTER it was delivered and he had received positive feedback from buyer.  He now is facing a late shipment demerit...
