Make Accept Offer Payment Due Immediately

eBay needs to make the accept offer option pay immediately just like when someone used a buy it now. Too many buyers are using this as a stall tactic and taking too long to pay, so why is it not pay immediately just as the buy it now is pay immediately?  This makes no sense. Then you got a lot of non-payers and time wasters who take advantage of this. As soon as a buyer accepts it should go right to payment option just like the buy it now does, and the auction should remain up until payment is made. So fix this stupid crap now.

Make Accept Offer Payment Due Immediately

eBay is actually experimenting with making users specify a payment when making an offer so that the offer can be accepted and paid for immediately, but the experiment is limited to a few trial accounts at this time.

Until eBay makes that a universal requirement, sellers seeking to avoid unpaid items may wish to use fixed price listings with immediate payment required and also not accept offers but instead lower the buy-it-now price to the offer amount to preserve the immediate payment requirement.

Check your requirements.  some sellers  already have that option available in the program that eburtonlab posted about.

There may be a box to put a check mark in to require it.

Immediate payment required is NOT the best option for high volume, low cost sellers because of the fixed $.30 fee per transaction.  If someone buys 10 items for $1.00 each with immediate payments, that's $3.00 (10 x $.30) in fixed transaction fees alone.  If someone buys 10 items for $1.00 each and uses one combined payment of $10.00, that's only $.30 in fixed transaction fees.  In this example, NOT requiring immediate payment results in a savings of $2.70 in fees .  It is also more efficient in paper work, requiring just 1 packing slip instead of 10, 1 order  instead of 10, and possibly lower shipping costs.

Sellers using that option at the moment can still receive offers from the majority of users that are not part of the trial, and thus may still wind up with no payment when accepting offers, though. Only the users that are part of the trial will be affected by that setting and will be required to provide payment information, all others can still make an offer and then wait or fail to pay.

The problem is a lot of buyers are just trolling or playing around trying to see what the lowest offer is and have no intention of paying so this should be fixed. It just needs to be set up like a BIN as I said. Until then I am done with best offer. Many that use best offer pay but there are many who don't and slows things way down especially low feedbackers. With the new horrible managed payment **bleep** it is too slow as it is, and even slower yet with 4 plus days of waiting or not receiving payment at all. Then you have to start all over again.
