Complaining re technical issue

The desktop Ebay selling page has changed & I can no longer click on the highest bidder to view their profile.

This has caused such huge inconvenience. Previously ,I could go to the listing page & click the highest bidder without having to click on bids. I therefore have no way of seeing the highest bidders feedback- which enables me to decide whether to allow or block the bid !

I am extremely unhappy about this. Please explain & offer a solution as the app also has NO function to allow you to see potential buyers feedback page . Therefore ANY buyer can bid yet they may have a pattern of leaving negative feedback. If I see a buyer like this within minutes of my item ending I wont have enough time to block. Honestly the new website is no good. It's lost this feature which has now totally hindered my sales & annoyed me as a seller. Its nothing to do with the browser the website runs from. So disappointed & angry about this . Caused me so much unecessary hassle.

Also , when sending a message via help page you state its a "suggestion" which you won't respond to. When it's a COMPLAINT/ ENQUIRY

Additionally , after ONE request you stated I had exceeded my requests!

As a 13 year loyal power seller I am upset about all these problems They need resolving as,I need consistent access to help & to see the potential buyers so I can block any person thats a bad buyer

I dont think Ebay appreciate the impact bad buyers have. It was useful to have the block tool but that's now impossible because you don't allow sellers to click on the buyer. Is this a bug or a longterm issue?

I haven't sold with eBay for 3 weeks as so many issues deter me, especially how unimproved the app & website is!

So what reason are you giving when you cancel someones bid? Looks like you are located in the UK, and are asking on the US .com page. Are you selling on UK or USA site, that may help with direction of answers.

Agree with you 100%. Being able to check a bidders feedback left for others is important considering a buyer can nearly ruin a sellers account with bad feedback. Ive had no shortage of buyers who seem to only leave negatives and that is why I dont run auctions much anymore. Happy New Year

Hi. I'm a UK seller. Ebay directed me to this page from the UK site. So they can't even get that right ! To help me further - How can I block a bidder when I can't click their feedback profile in the first place? I need to be able to actually see the bidder profile to enable me to make an informed choice on whether to allow or block their bids . I am a 13 year power seller myself, & Ebay cant actually give me a proper answer. Hence I came on here . You USED to be able to click your highest bidders name which automatically took you to their feedback profile which showed how long they had been a member, their location & all their feedback for buying & selling. My OP is asking why this feature is now defunct. So frustrating. No wonder sellers are choosing other platforms to sell on These improvements are no good   Thanks

Selsa84. Thanks for your contribution. I'm a UK seller but this issue is worldwide. I have avoided a lot of bad buyers by using this method. ie if I see a buyer leaves regular negative feedback, I block immediately. Its useful to protect your account, especially during the last 25 minutes of your items ending.  I can't view any of my highest bidders & Ebay are now asking for screenshots. Its not my browser as this happens on any device. The app has never allowed sellers to view bidders feedback   Yes you can see the name but the ONLY way to find then is to Google which is time consuming & no good

Could your listings, being private, have something to do with ? While your feedback shows a number of sales for the past month, opening the Advance window and checking sold for past 60-90 days, nothing comes up.

On the US, .com, in the past when I have looked, could see feedback but not the buyer's eBay username till they won the auction. US feedback, we do not see buyer's eBay username at all, unlike other countries where the username is in the feedback.

"Hi. I'm a UK seller. Ebay directed me to this page from the UK site. So they can't even get that right !" That would not be a first. I would hope if you are logged in to your home account, and open community, that you would be able to post there? But who know the whats and whys sometimes! Happy New Year. 🙂
