Logged out and cannot sign back in - Technical difficulties, please try again later

Ebay app on standard Android 14, not working as of yesterday evening (18/9/2024)

Have cleared all appdata and retried but no joy.

Sign in with google - allows you to select your google account but goes straight back to sign in page

Sign in with email - disaplys "Technical difficulties, please try again later" and goes straight back to sign in page

Text temporary password - same deal

Try uninstalling the eBay app, restarting your device, then installing the latest version of the app once more. The restart should ensure a clean install.

If that does not help, try using a browser to go to ebay.co.uk in the UK instead.

If browser links open in the app automatically, go to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by default: Open supported links and choose "do not open in the app".

I'm getting the same error; my cellphone is a Oneplus 12 running Android 14. I can log in from my PC and mobile web browsers, but not via the app.

I will appreciate your help to solve this issue.

Hi elizabeth@ebay - can you check if this is a known login issue with the app on Android 14? Handful of users affected in this thread and spotted a few other reports, too.
