I've noticed for the last few days that mobile search results are missing a bunch of listings which appear on desktop. I'll provide a few examples below with the web and mobile search queries and screenshots of results:
1. Dave Matthews poster (All listings, Worldwide, All Categories, Sorted by Newest)
- Mobile Web, unauthenticated: (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=dave+matthews+poster&_sop=10&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sacat=0&_oac=1&rt=nc...)
- Mobile App, authenticated:
- Desktop Web, authenticated: (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=dave+matthews+poster&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sacat=0&_oac=1&LH_All=1&rt=n...)
* The listing which appears 1st on mobile is actually 11th on desktop, and then there's a gap of 8 more missing listings before the item which appears 2nd on mobile is visible.
2. Chuck Sperry (All listings, Worldwide, All Categories, Sorted by Newest)
- Mobile Web, unauthenticated: (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=chuck+sperry&_sop=10&LH_PrefLoc=2&_sacat=0&_oac=1)
- Mobile App, authenticated:
- Desktop Web, authenticated: (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_nkw=chuck+sperry&_sacat=0&LH_...)
^^^ Zoomed that desktop image out a bit so you can see that the 1st mobile listing is 4th on desktop - and then there's are a few more desktop listings before the 2nd mobile listing appears.
These are all using the same search queries, filters, and sort parameters. Whats going on with mobile listings? As best I can tell, this began within the last week.
