Listings do not show up in search results and have 0 views

I contacted support and the agent told me this is normal because it's indexing and can take up to 36 hours.

That was never the case before, at the most it normally takes 15 minutes.

It seems many other people are having this problem as well.

I don’t know why this is, and I’m not even positive, but my experience is that selling IDs that in frequently list take longer for indexing of items.

One of my IDs used to list every single day, and those listings will be live almost immediately, often getting sales within the first few minutes. I took a break from that ID, and several months later the indexing was pretty slow. Now, I’ve been listing regularly on that account, and indexing is occurring fairly quickly.

There was an update to the system on eBay this past Thursday I believe, & ever since then it takes about 24 hours for all my new listings to show up. Contrary to what the agent told you, this is NOT the norm on eBay, at least it wasn't till now. In the past, going all the way back to 2006, it would often take only a few minutes for new listings to appear in search results. This is extremely frustrating considering that if you post an auction, your automatically missing a day of potential bidders being able to view it or bid. And with the buy-it-now listings, missing out on a day of potential sales. No word yet on how soon (if at all) this will be fixed.
