As a buyer and not a seller...This happens to me on both Firefox and Chrome for desktop, and has gotten so bad that I almost cannot use the website anymore. It is unrelated to any particular age of a listing, and even happens when I try to go to My Ebay, or any other ebay page. The only solution is temporary--to clear cookies/cache, log in again, and keep browsing as usual for a short while until it happens again a dozen or so clicks later. Then it won't go away unless I start over and log in again, no matter what I click on Ebay I get the error page. I have never had anything like this before, so I think it must be some bug in the system. Has anyone else experienced this?

It's not limited to the Firefox or the Chrome browser. It's also on Safari. It's another 'holiday gift' from eBay.
I have seen the same page, but to a much lesser degree than what you are experiencing. I've had that message come up when I'm listing an item on eBay. I load photos, type my title, set my item specifics, add my description, decide on a price, and I get to the bottom of the page and click "List It." The next thing I see is the error page with "We Looked Everywhere."
It does carry everything i just got done with into my Drafts (intact). Then I have to open the draft and double-check to make sure it's all correct, just to be safe. Then I list the item. Frustrating, very frustrating.
It's happened many times.

It's due to some sort of rate-limiting server-side software (Distil?) which they either installed or changed the settings for in the last couple of days. Hit too many pages too quickly, and you'll be blocked for a little while.
Proof: Wait 10-15 minutes or so and try some of those error pages again, and they will work. Up to a point. Then you'll be blocked again.
You're right, this makes the site unusable for users who make all their bids for the day at one time. If you want to view or bid on a lot of stuff in a short amount of time, you're out of luck.
Really wish eBay had a better way of detecting bots, maybe an invisible captcha or an occasional visual captcha. But... why would eBay want to fix anything? It's been pretty much the same site that brings in a lot of money for them for 20 years.

If you have a VPN installed on your computer, turn it off while on ebay.
This has solved the problem for me.

I have been seeing this page a lot lately. I have to keep clicking on reload and eventually get to the page I am trying to view. I have to wonder if that is why my sales slowed down to less than a trickle. Are buyers seeing the error page instead of the items that I have for sale? My much anticipated 4th quarter was only 2 weeks long. Worst in all my years on Ebay.

The fact that this thread is from 2022 and yours is only the fifth post would seem to indicate that this is not a widespread or ongoing issue for most users.
There are some past threads associated with that error message, but those primarily concern sellers having problems listing while using particularly high-latency network connections or VPNs.
Buyers do not seem to be running into that error when viewing current active listings, other than listings that have been removed from eBay for policy violations, which happens from time to time. In those cases, reloading will not help as the listings are gone.
