Items are opening in new tab - there is no 'open items page in' option listed to select same tab

Starting last night, clicking search button on listings page updates listings but turns the listing text to black from blue and then clicking an item opens a new tab. This happens on Firefox and also Edge.

Under the customize search there is no "open items page in" option listed to select "same tab". It's just not there.

It is possible that eBay is testing a new page, and you may not be seeing the options that others can still see.

Try clearing your cache and manually erasing eBay cookies in one of your browsers, and try disabling add-ons to see if that makes any difference for you.

Yes, there is that option (the 3 horizontal lines on the right). Click on that and choose CUSTOMIZE. Then one can choose between new tab or same tab. Click on same tab and hit APPLY and that used to work. But soon it always defaulted back to new tab. Now after a few days of this very annoying hassle, it doesn't work at all. Is anyone at eBay listening? While you're working on this glitch, please bring back the collectibles categories that you eliminated in favor of item specifics and AI, then get rid of item specifics and fire the idiots who came up with this horrible idea. Ebayer since it was AuctionWeb.
