Ive noticed a new issue with all listings that have multiple variations. When you select the variation instead of instantly displaying the correct picture like normal the page will briefly scroll all the way back to the main display pic for the listing for a brief second. While this isn't a critical glitch it does create a jarring shopping experience especially if someone is scrolling through the different variations as it will roll back to the first picture every time. This glitch started happening sometime earlier this week. I have tested this on multiple listings and it does affect all of them. I have also tried multiple browsers. This does not appear to affect mobile.

I just noticed this happening with my variation listings this morning and came here to check to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.
I have signed out, cleared the cache and cookies, and signed back in but the issue persists when using Chrome or Edge browsers. When using Firefox the photo display works correctly.
I will contact eBay to report the issue to eBay.
@wastingtime101 you asked for a tag when issues with variation listings occur.

So far I'm able to replicate the problem on both Firefox and Safari on Mac. I also tested Brave on Mac and that browser worked fine.
Would you mind testing on your end kyle@ebay ? I thought maybe you could do a video capture and add to a help ticket since us regular folk can't submit a screen recording to CS. 😁
This is the listing I tested: https://www.ebay.com/itm/204600026884

I am seeing the issue when using Edge and Chrome. I do not see it when using Firefox. I am using Windows 10 on my desktop.
I contacted CS and the rep was able to replicate the issue on his end using Chrome and said he would report it. The rep did need to make a couple of different selections from the drop-down list before the issue appeared. For me, I see the issue immediately when selecting any item from the drop-down list.

Hey @wastingtime101 it was a good thought! However, I opened up that listing in both Chrome and Edge, and tried a few other listings in each too, but I was not seeing the glitch on my end. That being said, we can still report it from our end too, and keep an eye out for additional reports as well.

I am unsure if you can use this video...but here is what I recorded. The screen bounced around while I was recording and even though the drop-down list was visible on my side, the recording did not show it, which may be something I did or did not do when setting up to record.

Thanks, appreciate it Kyle. Hopefully you can add a link to Kim's video to the ticket you filed.

Hey @mcdougle4248 that IS helpful! It definitely illustrates what you all were describing. I'm still not sure why we're seeing inconsistent results, where it works fine for some, and does this strange loading thing for others. But we'll be glad to use this video to illustrate the issue.

The issue appears to be fixed for me.
Can you confirm?

Definitely not fixed @mcdougle4248 .

It looks like the issue is coming and going for me now. I checked several of my listings, a few random listings using search, and one of the OP's listings around 2:30 this afternoon and they all displayed as usual. A few minutes ago when I checked the issue was back again 😒

Yes the same thing happened for me. The issue appeared to be fixed this afternoon as every listing I checked was back to normal and now they are all back to scrolling to the display pic when switching.

The issue persists for me this morning. At this time, I am seeing it using Firefox, Edge, and Chrome browsers.

Ive noticed this issue as well. Not all listings with variations seem affected but some are. Not sure what the reason is. I took a video capture to show an example of the issue. I can see how it could turn some buyers off someone's listing with all of the constant picture flickering. Video link below
