Issue with eBay Location Notification

Recently, when logging in to my shop from my new computer, I received an email from eBay indicating that the location was identified as the United States. I am puzzled by this, as I am based in the United Kingdom and have not accessed my account from any location outside of the UK.

Location information, if it is available, comes from the network provider that is used to sign in to your account.

If you use a VPN or hotspot, or certain kinds of privacy software, that can also affect the location displayed.
