Problem
As a high volume seller I spend a lot of time each day just adding tracking numbers to orders. Part of my frustration is the amount of time this process takes versus what it should take. I find that sometimes it is faster to manually type the tracking number rather than using the app to scan it which just sounds silly. The problem with scanning through the app is that you need to take a number of unnecessary steps. Let me highlight this with a comparison of what it should take for a seller versus what the current process is:
My ideal process
Search by buyer name > click scan tracking > scan tracking and have it apply to the entire order*.
New Update
Search by item title > tap item* > scroll down > tap add tracking > tap add another tracking number > tap Scan > Scan tracking > tap Save and continue** > repeat for every item sold to that buyer (even in the same order)
*only shows username so if you have multiple of the same orders you may have to repeat this step until you find the right buyer.
**Brings you back to a prior screen but does not show the tracking has been updated.
Prior Process
Search by item title > Tap item > Mark as Shipped > prompted to add tracking number, tap yes > Tap Scan > Scan tracking > Tap Save and continue > repeat for every item sold to that buyer (even in the same order)
As you can see the new process removes one of the steps but adds in 2 more including a scrolling mechanic which arguably takes longer.
Solution
It would be great if Ebay could address seller frustrations. The selling aspect should be focused on the seller experience. Give us the option to simplify the method through settings. The more time you save us by optimising the selling process, the more we can focus on selling. Even though each individual action seems insignificant, over the course of 50-100 + orders a day it can add up to a lot of wasted time each day.

Doesn't ebay.au let you print postage and upload tracking for you? If not why not use a service that integrates with ebay that automatically does?
