Is anyone else having problems with their Messages page? Unable to open any messages.

Wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems with their Message page.  The entire set up of the page is strange and I am unable to open individual messages. The only way I can read a question sent to me by a member is to start on my private email account and click on the Respond button.  Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Sarah

I also cant open message contents for a wile now, iv tried on my phone with ebay app and on a tablet with chrome. I see message headers from ebay but the message content wont show.

Iv also been waiting for an item, mailed the seller once it got late no reply's so did again this one got to the seller who replyed he has been mailing also but nothing my end. 

Using my external mail client will show the message contents.

The app on phone when i try and open the message says , Opps. Unable to find message and you can only click refresh.

Internet explorer on my PC says " That isn't working right now. Please try again later." were the message content should be.

UPDATE I turned on compatibility view and could read the message. But it messes up the page layout on the screen for everything else.

Hello Halfnakedbarbarianwoman, Same problem here on the East Coast for the last 3 to 4 days or so? (Although we have been getting the messages a day later it seems?) They all arrive at once; like in bursts to our personal email, so eBay might be tweaking their messaging system?

Bad news if you were to get a 'Second Chance offer' to bid on something, and the time has run out. I hope they address the matter.

Yes, I have been having problems for about 10 days, and again today.  What to do?  Trying to get a hold of ebay is a struggle, what did you do, what number to call?

Still for the last several days, it seems all the messages still arrive in bunches at at time? Usually after 6 PM EST. So, we have been just trying to adapt with these new problems or glitches and just roll with the punches. Last time we tried to give someone that advise, we were censored. [It is common knowledge though] We would definitely get back to the eBay customer service department if you wanted to alert them further to the matter! After you talk to a representative; if no progress is made, ask to talk to their supervisor and get that person to escalate it to a resolution team before hanging up!
Over 13+ years buying & selling on eBay; I also had to call two or three times and whenever I wasn't making much progress with that certain CSR rep, I demanded to speak to his or her supervisor. This experience proved to be a lot more beneficial and resulted in corrective resolutions.

A few years ago it seemed (at the time), escalating your question/problem to a supervisor or administrator had better results! (While eBay & their CSR employees may be overwhelmed lately with an increase in problematic calling due to these errors, their "number one job" is to treat their customers with compassion and respect.) I really think/hope they are trying to improve, but do they have their hands full. I personally think different browser adaptability & app's problems may be causing these current problems, but who knows and your guess is as good as mine?

Short answer:
You can use the "Help & Contact" link at the 'top or bottom' of this page to contact eBay. (Turns out, eBay really wants you to do it that way.) Go through their little computer process until you are able to obtain a phone number for them directly & save the 'ticket' number they will furnish you with. They should also announce the average call wait time also to better inform you of their phone traffic. This "ticket number" is important containing all your info and helps them service you better from the beginning.

Hello Halfnakedbarbarianwoman & Estatesalechic,

Yes, still broken here and it has been that way all weekend. Our friend from Delaware just called and claimed he was also having the same issues. The one and only email we did receive from eBay was from them last evening congratulating us again for having the 'Most Viewed Collection List' which is absolutely hypocritical  on eBay's part, because they stopped featuring it and we can't even search for it in their collections list? We had been getting email's from them during the entire month of May. Griff of "Griff & Jeff's" Wednesday Hour Community meeting did at least give me a usual 'staple' response. eBay usually has a Wednesday meeting at 4 PM EST/1 PM PST, so I will ask them about this issue if no one else does.

I hope they get their act together. I really feel sorry for folk's that use and rely on eBay to try to make a living, it's hard enough working around their glitches. The only thing we accomplished yesterday was watching eBay's stock drop. Good luck!

I too am having problems with retrieving messages and wording being bunched up in the upper left corner. The "word bunching" is happening on the 'compare items' page also, so am not able to use the 'return to previous page' option. I finally got thru to ebay support and told them several people are having the same problem. They suggested changing browsers but I don't think thats a reasonable solution. Said they would notify tech support and would take 48 hours for response. Seems like this started happening after they'd sent out the new user agreement statement. Good luck to us all!

While the message system may still be down and we are still getting all 'ebay' related emails in bunches (usually in the evening); the good news is, the eBay Purchase History seems to be finally working correctly! All dates and purchases are showing up correctly. This was a great thing to see.
