Invoicing down? Can't even send any invoices anymore

The next problem in the ever growing ebay issues list seems to be that it's no longer possible to send invoice to my customers, getting error messages al the time: Something went wrong. Please try again later.

Dear ebay, maybe you should start give a message when things go right as nothing but really nothing seems to function anymore.!!!!

There are at least two different ways to send an invoice -- one using Seller Hub, and one using the My eBay Selling Overview page. If one is not working for you, try the other:

Thanks, but I know my way around, I make thousands of combined invoice each week . Now I need to combine well over 4000 sold items from todays auctions with sales from last week and whatever I do it says please try later. I am just getting so sick and tired of ebay, nothing ever works. Maybe it's because we are volume sellers but whatever the cause, the issues remain and only seem to get worse, I haven't seen any solution coming from ebay for any of the issues from the last months.

Did you try using a different web browser?  I was having the same problem and ebay couldn't fix it a couple of months ago.  The only work around at that time was to use Firefox because Safari wouldn't work.  At one point it was a guess as to which would work.  Sometimes within minutes one would quit and the other would start working.  Really a pain they keep making us find work arounds for the problems they create.

I am having this issue now, June 28-9 in 2022.   They claim it is a Global issue with ebay, not sure if your issue was resolved from a year ago but this is crazy for a big tech company.

It's generally better to start a new discussion @connecticutskier since older ones are often connected to different issues.

 

eBay made some changes on June 23 that are preventing invoices in certain situations. Here's what they had to say about it:

 

The items sellers are reporting are considered "Autopay" which prevents an invoice being sent.


Autopay would be considered something like Immediate payment being required in listings. So for auctions, that would come into play if the seller used the 'Require immediate payment when buyer uses the Buy It Now' feature. It sounds like they are looking to find a way to improve the member experience though, so that's good to see.


A quick call out I want to make if sellers aren't requiring immediate payment, is to double check their shipping preferences to ensure they've checked the box to, "Allow buyers to send one combined payment for all items purchased."

 

The option to allow buyers to combine payments is a setting on this page. If you select anything longer than 3 days it can affect any automatic unpaid item settings you have in place on this page.

Still no facility to send and invoice to customers!  EBay has totally removed this function!!

Same here as of today. I have to refund excess postage and incur additional 30p fees.

Are you able to send an invoice on ebay.co.uk rather than ebay.com?
