This is the second time I've been burned like this. The first time was a day or two ago. I contact Ebay support and the person helping did not understand the problem. They said the seller sets the shipping price. I understand this. However, ebay's website displays the value and the value displayed is incorrect. Clearly the value can be calculated correctly, as show in the checkout screen. However the value in the checkout screen is NOT the value in the "counteroffer" page. Screenshots attached to show this. This transaction ended up costing me $14 more than it should have.

1st time was phone support. Today I tried chat support. Again they are claming this is not a bug but instead something the seller needs to fix.
The counteroffer page needs to be debugged. Either list
- $8.25 per item shipping
- Plus shipping and handling
or
- $22.55 for 8 items
Is is not right for the seller to have to "fix" the invoice (which my seller won't) because ebay displayed the wrong total before commiting to buy. Calculating isn't diffcult as it does this calculation at checkout. It just need to have the same values on the counteroffer screen.

Your right, something is wrong. How did eBay calculate the $22.85? Does their software know 8 items will fit in a certain size box? Seller had to know that the counteroffer was wrong too, if he actually looked at it.

As sellers, you can set combined shipping discounts. This is where the shopping cart gets its data. It just needs to display the same value on the counteroffer page but doesn't.
