How do I get and stay on desktop from mobile version of ebay?
I used to be able to hold the refresh and request desktop. Eventually, after a lot of messing around I’d get it. Would frequently switch back to mobile if I did a lot of searching. Now, since I updated to IOS 15.4.1 I can’t do it. Any suggestions? I really don’t like the mobile site.
thanks

You should be able to get the desktop site version of the page by holding down the refresh button in Safari, unless something has changed recently.
The key to staying in desktop mode is to open all links in the same browser tab; new tabs will default to mobile mode.
eBay has changed the default for search result links to open in a new tab, so you may have to go to your search customization settings and change the search default to open in the same tab. The customize menu is in the upper right of the search results where you can switch between list or gallery view. The default may go back to opening links in a new tab if you sign out or restart your browser, unfortunately.

Hi. Thank you for your fast reply. I appreciate your suggestions, unfortunately none seem to work. The safari refresh button no longer brings up the request desktop option. Just “copy, voice search and move to tab group” whatever that is.
If I poke around ebay eventually I can access the drop down menu and select summary I can get my page in classic site. On my safari setup options I can select desktop for all sites and so far that’s sort of worked. Which can be a pain on iPhone; so far only changing just for eBay and the change back.
I think it must be a change in the newest iOS.
Also, sorry, I can’t find the customize search menu either.
Oh well, thanks again anyway.

It may be a change to Safari. Unfortunately I do not have an iOS phone to test. You might try asking on the iOS App board -- someone there should be able to explain how to get Safari into desktop mode consistently.
It might be worth trying another browser such as Chrome or Firefox -- those should still allow you to view pages in desktop mode in individual browser tabs without affecting all your other open tabs. You should be able to use the three dot menu to request the desktop version of a particular tab.
