How to delete "other" user ID

Few years ago I saw a different user name on my account that I did not initiate. Don't know who or why it was started, only that I didn't.  It shows a different feedback # than the original ID and list another email address that does belong to me. In the past I have found eBay customer service to be extremely lacking.  You can't talk to anyone in a timely manner or you get timed out of a chat without resolution.  Anyone have a better idea on how to figure this mess out?

Most likely the other account was created when you signed in to eBay using a social media account linked to that email address for the first time, possibly on another device. The username, if you do not specify it, is chosen by eBay based on your name or your email address and a random number.

In order to delete the account you must first sign in to it. From there you can request the account be deleted, and if you have no recent transactions, it should be deleted within thirty days or so.

If you cannot recall the exact method of signing in to that account, try signing in with that account's username, and select the "need help signing in?" option when you are prompted for a password.

thanks.  Never been on social media, but it might have been around the time I got a new tablet.  Do I understand that just signing in the 1st time on a new  or different device you're automatically assigned a new user ID?  I would like to close it but I'd like to have those 3 meesly feedbacks to get added to my original ID.  Do you know how or if that's possible to have them transferred and then  I'd close the second ID?

No, the feedback can't be transferred to another account.

I also seem to have 2 different user ID's associated with my account. Do you know if I delete one of them by closing the account will the other ID still stay active. Thanks

Sign in to the account you want to close -- make sure it is the correct account -- then use the link in my previous message to close the account.
