Hi,
I logged into Ebay on a new machine and got immediately locked out, with an email telling me so. Thanks to the system taking you straight to the reset/change password page I had a devil of a time getting a password accepted. I want to complain about:
1. Locking me out without even asking if it was me, giving me an option to confirm.
2. Not giving me info on their password criteria ahead of, or on the password page they sent me to.
I ahve been on Ebay for a long time and had a very strong password which served me well (I think) for long enough that I forgot the password criteria. Why on earth has Ebay not updated their password system? Their insistence on numbers and symbols seems so old fashioned now. As I was so frazzled by a problem that was their own fault I did not end up with a phrase password, does Ebay allow phrases? I mostly use phrases for passwords, they seem more effective and despite length are actually easier to recall.
