Hello to all ebayers,

I have been experiencing several issues with ebay lately and I was wondering if any of you had this or if there is any way to solve this.

To start with the most important, it appears that Help & Contact does not work at all. No matter what subject I choose I always get the message "We didn't find a good match for your search, please try again". It seems that their hotline is also stuck into a loop and I am unable to get help from a "human" agent.

Then there is the issue that the menu is in the language of the country I live in whereas I always had it in English. Because of this (I think), every option under Account Settings is not available i.e., a cursor appears instead of a mouse button when trying to select anything. Because of this I cannot change anything in my settings.

Disabled extensions, deleted cookies several times and this issue appears on two laptops and also mobile phone, so nothing I tried helped.

You appear to be located in the Czech Republic, so you will not be able to request a call back in the US.

You should be able to chat with an agent, though, by requesting an agent through the chat assistant.

What browsers have you tried? Are you able to change account settings via the eBay app?

Thing is, I've been living in CZ for 10 years now and never had any issues with ebay. The chat assistant option no longer appears although yesterday it seemed to work. I tried both Chrome and Internet Explorer with no success. I also tried calling directly to the US but the chatbot just kept me into a loop. This option also worked a few months ago but now it doesn't.

It seems to work for me in the US using Firefox on a desktop Windows 10 machine, and I am able to request a chat with an agent with a one minute wait time:

It is a joke. I also started a thread here but no solutions. Just been on facebook chat and they told me to use ebay chat which no longer exists for us poor Europeans and then closed my chat!

Anyone around from ebay who knows what they are talking about, not community members who are trying to help but unfortunately can not?

What version of Chrome are you using? Internet Explorer is no longer supported and will not work for many things.

It is possible some of the problems you are encountering could be due to your location; but it is also possible some of the issues are due to using an older browser, or due to particular browser settings or history.

If there is a local eBay user's group in the Czech Republic, they may have some suggestions for getting in touch with eBay if the usual channels are not available there.

You might try getting the latest version of Firefox and seeing if you can change your account settings or use the Help & Contact page links with that browser. That may work better for you.

If I were encountering this problem I would try the Facebook option again and attempt to make it clear that the chat assistant window is not working for you at all.
