Frustrated with lack of customer service / tech support

Back in March, I was able to do an online chat with customer service about an issue.  a ticket was created for technical support to figure out and get back to me.  I've tried replying back thru the email they sent and in April they said it was still being reviewed but now they won't reply at all.  It's July 1st and nothing.  The chat bot is frustrating and doesn't give me the option to chat with someone like it has in the past. I requested a call back yesterday and no one called me back.  Today, I tried again and requested another call back and they did. Can I not request talking to someone in tech directly?  It would be so much easier to give someone the ticket number and have them review.   The basic rep kept putting me on hold and never wanted the ticket number, even when I offered it to him. The last time he came back on, the background noise was so bad he said he'd call me right back and of course, I'm still waiting and it's been 4 hours.  I am beyond frustrated.

Maybe someone has a work around for my issue.  I want to create a report for all my purchases on Ebay.  That's fine. I can do that, but only for my current user name.  I changed my user name 2 years after being a member.  So how do I capture the report for my old user name?  I've tried putting in the date I initially joined but the report only wants to go back to the date I changed my user name to the current one.  My account has never  lapsed. Changing your ID should not matter. Through which path are you generating a report?

 

On the Seller Hub > Orders page data goes back 2 years. To download data going further back you have to go to Seller Hub > Payments > Reports

Note this will only go back as far as when you joined Managed Payments. For transactions prior to that you'd have to download a report from PayPal since they were processing your payments.

The account you are posting with now was registered in 1999. You should be able to request your purchases back that far in this account, I believe. I just requested purchase history data going back to the day I opened my eBay account in 1998; I was forced to change my username some time after 2000 (originally it was my email address, but eBay later decided not to allow that). I will see if that provides actual data in a week.

 

If you had another eBay account prior to that and created this new account in 1999 rather than simply changing the username, you would have to sign in to the original account in order to see Purchase History from that other account. But if you have not signed in to that older account in many years, eBay has almost certainly deleted it by now.

My mistake - I misread the OP to mean sales history, not purchase history. Ignore my earlier post. @eburtonlab 's post has the answers @lan20fan .

 

My oldest account here has undergone a couple of ID changes and last time I requested data it included the full account history back to day 1, not just since the last ID change.

This is how  Ebay had me create my report:  My Ebay → summary → account → request ebay data.  it generates the report from now only back to the date i changed my user name.  I never closed my account to reopen another.

You should be able to request your purchase data all the way back to May 13, 1999 -- the date this account was created -- but no further.

This sounds like user error. When you create the report it shows start date / end date just above all the checkboxes of data you want/don't want to include. It's up to you to set the start and end dates if you want more info than the default setting of 1 year @lan20fan .

I have always changed and put in the correct dates - 05/13/1999 - the date I initially joined Ebay through let's say 12/31/2024.  And I've checked only the purchase box.  The report generated begins in November 2001, not May of 1999 as I requested. I don't know what else you are suggesting me to do when you suggest user error.

I agree, but I cannot for some reason.  That's why it would be nice if someone from Ebay's tech dept would reply to me. I'm sure they've deleted the ticket and moved on.
