Forbidden message

I can't save a search in ebay mobile app. Text box shows at top of page:"FORBIDDEN"

Anyone else have this problem? Saw lots of posts that same is happening on ebay.com

ebay mobile help answers on the Mobile App boards
Posting there on the correct board with as much information as possible will help you get a better answer
Try to tell them what operating system your running, device your using, problems you are encountering, etc.

I'm having the same problem, I even Un-installed and Re-installed the same app and that didn't work either 🤔

Too many saved searches. More than 100 does it.

I have the same condition under Android app. Was at or over 100, then I deleted about about 20 sellers. I am well below the 100 limit but still have an error saving sellers. Desktop is the same.

As a longtime ebay account, I think there's something to change on my account object that ebay admins would only be able to edit/correct.

Any workaround would be appreciated. Its been about 4 years with this issue.

Saved Sellers and Saved Searches are both a buggy mess that should not to be relied on. The discussion boards are full of complaints about users not receiving Saved Search emails, or else receiving emails from zombie searches that cannot be found or deleted. Likewise, users complain of being unable to add or delete Saved Sellers, despite being under the limit.

Your best bet may be to find another way to keep track of searches and sellers that you have more direct control over -- by using bookmarks, links pasted into an email, or third party automated search tools. Google "automated searches ebay" for some possible suggestions.

What were the words in your search and what category were you searching? so others can try it to see how wide spread the problem is.

I believe the "Forbidden" message is a result of trying to Save a Seller using the app when the software thinks the user has already reached the limit of 100 Saved Sellers, even though the user cannot actually see 100 sellers on their list. Apparently some of the "deleted" sellers are still counting towards that limit.
