You can narrow the search results by selecting Local Pickup within a mileage you specify (at the left of the search results), and display the results by ending soonest.
But you will miss out on all of the easy to ship items from sellers, even in your area, who do not wish the added hassle of buyer pickup. Many have had experience with Craigslist and freecycle where many of those who claim to want to buy never show up or show up late.
It is unlikely that many in the Ebay seller community would support your request. It is unlikely that Ebay which partners with the Facebook Marketplace would show any interest in your request.
