After 3 weeks of not having a correct View Counter on my Classic View Selling page, the thought occurred to me that eBay deliberately caused this problem to force us hold-outs who like the Classic View to start using/relying on the new Selling page since the Vew Counter works on that page.

I would tend to doubt your concern. This is affecting small sellers (Consumer to Consumer) as well as business sellers (Business to Consumer). It affects sellers without a store or with.

I don't think it works so well to be honest on the new one. I listed quite a few items this past weekend which normally they have double digit views in minutes and frequent customers having them in their watch list immediately. This aint happening anymore that leads me to conclusion that there is something else behind it. Small business is getting killed here...

Sad but true. There is something else going on. I think there is a hard crash in Ebay's future. They havent owned up to what is going on. I do think ebay is trying to force users/sellers to use their new page formats "Active ebay pages" They are contiuing to take away options for sellers. I mean a stupid return policy that I "Have to give a return for 30 days" 14 days was bad enough. I sell used items, toys and collectibles and to have someone return something after 30 or even 60 days and give a full refund, and pay for shipping back to me too. That makes No sense. Not good business.
I am amazed In how the veiw counters can work one day and Not work the next. Also can you even trust that when they are working that they are correct?
Ebay Fix your stupid problems. Your half hearted applogy doesnt solve the problem.

So what I see on my app and the site is the number of watchers, which I believe is either frozen or erroneously capped to previous watchers, is in the view count and there is a dash or a zero for watchers.
Also, on my new aggressive listings, which I can usually make $100 a day, in not getting best offers or new watchers. Ebay can say what they want but I'M GETTING NO TRAFFIC PERIOD. Probably the same with everybody.

You hit on another problem that impacts me. I fully agree that 14 days was long enough for a person to return an item. I sell vintage clothing that frequently is "new" vintage in that it might be 30 years old but retains original tags, or in the case of shoes, remain new in box, never worn. In 13 years selling here, I've had my fair share of buyers who abused the system. The abuse primarily centered around the purchase of an item for a special event that then was sent back damaged after which the buyer fought to get a full refund. One ruined a mint-in-box pair of silk and beaded Chanel heels and then threatened negative feedback if I left her negative (when sellers still could.) Clearly she had worn the shoes so hard that cuts were present everywhere in the silk from (dancing?) against other objects. There also were many scuff marks on the soles. But according to eBay I "might" have sent the shoes that way and I had to reimburse the full cost. That was the worst but I've dealt with buyers removing tags, wearing and then returning a half dozen times just in the past 2 years. I am not a Top Seller anymore - since the new policy I'm no longer offering returns on many groups of items.

Counters are not working, despite the fact that support told me that in the seller hub they work correctly. All my latest items have 0 views for a few days now which i really doubt.
